1. How do I sign up to sell lemonade?
A: Fill out the form and send it to us.
2. How do I get a form?
A: Go to the 2008 Sign-up link above, fill out the form and mail it to us. If you have any questions, contact us at info@kidshelpingkidsalexandria.org
3. Will you provide the supplies?
A: Yes, we provide lemonade, pitcher, a money can, cups, garbage bag for trash, a special LEMONAIDE t-shirt and a sign. All you need to bring is water, ice, a spoon to stir the lemonade, and enthusiasm! Feel free to make cookies or brownies to sell with the lemonade to increase your sales and earn more for our charities!
4. Where do I pick up the stuff?
A. On Lemonaide Day (Saturday, April 26, 2008), you can pick up the stuff at George Mason Elementary School or at Market Square, starting at 8:30 AM until 10:00AM. Please return the stuff as well as the money you raised selling lemonade to us at your pick-up site between 4:00 and 6:00 PM.
5. Do you use any of the lemonade sale proceeds to cover "administrative costs"?
A. NO! We get donations from stores and businesses for the lemonade and other supplies and a grant from the City of Alexandria to cover other costs such as the costs of the T-shirts and our advertising. All proceeds from lemonade sales, corporate and individual donations go directly to the children's charities we have chosen to support. We deposit all the donations at Burke & Herbert (which doesn't charge us any fees for the account) until we have all our collections for the year, and then donate the funds to the charities. THANK YOU BURKE & HERBERT! |
